Julia Etu and Maddy Pulliam supplied assists for the Indians (21-0), who will host a Class 6 state quarterfinals against Region 6D runner-up Yorktown on Tuesday.
Madison Gagnon tallied for the Wolverines (18-4), who will visiting Region 6D winner Oakton for its quarterfinal on Tuesday.
FIELD HOCKEY
Chancellor 4, Orange 0: Adelyn Watkins scored twice and supplied an assists, and Hailey Waurio had a goal and an assists to help homestanding Chancellor win the Region 4C championship.
Maddie Anderson scored the other goal for the Chargers (15-1), Ellen Gallgher provided two assists and Maia Fissel one.
Goalie Julie Dillard made two saves for the Chancellor, which will host at Class 4 quarterfinals against Region 4D runner-up Loudoun County on Tuesday.
Orange (13-7) will travel to Region 4D winner Loudoun Valley for its quarterfinal on Tuesday.
StoneBridge 3, Fredericksburg Christian 1: Fredericksburg Christian's volleyball season ended in the VISAA Division II semifinals on Thursday night with a four-set loss against StoneBridge, 19-25, 25-19, 12-25, 24-26.
Down 11-1 in the fourth set, the Eagles (24-3) nearly forced a fifth set, coming back to take a late 24-23 lead while holding serve.
However, a 3-0 run from the Cavaliers (31-2) decided the set and match as the Eagles came up just short in the end.
Independence 3, Massaponax 2: The Panthers battled back from losing the first two sets to force a deciding fifth set before fall to visiting Independence 25-21, 25-19, 20-25, 23-25, 15-10 in the Region 5D semifinals.
Wednesday's results
Mountain View 3, Forest Park 2: Kayla Cotton had 16 kills, seven digs and three aces, and Alyssa Kumah totaled 14 kills, eight digs and four aces to help Mountain View secure a 24-26, 25-23, 23-25, 25-18, 15-11 win in the Region 6B quarterfinals.
Other leaders for the Wildcats (13-11) included Emerson Thomas with four kills; Bella Park with 44 assists, 13 digs, three kills and three aces; Annalese James with 10 digs; Elsie Afful with six kills and four aces; and Jayda Moffatt with four aces.
Mountain View advance to Saturday's region semifinal at Patriot, where the winner will earn a spot in the Class 6 state tournament.
