ASHLEY: Catholic War Veterans Holy Rosary Post 274 and its Home Association are sponsoring an Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. on Saturday. All local children, ages infant to nine, are invited to attend.
Volunteers are asked to report to the post at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
DALLAS: A fundraising event for the Back Mountain Memorial Library will be held from 5-8 p.m. on April 30 at Leggio’s Italian Restaurant, 64 E. Center Hill Road.
A percentage of the total sales (bar not included) during these hours, including eat in, take out and gift certificates, will be donated to the library to support the activities of the Children’s Summer Reading Program.
There will be a library display in the front of the restaurant and participants can register to win a Leggio’s gift card.
WEST PITTSTON: The West Pittston Cherry Blossom Committee will hold its final meeting at 7 p.m. on April 27 in the school building behind Corpus Christi Parish, Luzerne Avenue.
Final preparations will be made for the festival. All members are urged to attend. If unable to attend, members should forward their final preparations to the president.
WILKES-BARRE: The Big Band Society of Northeastern Pennsylvania is hosting a dinner dance on May 2 at the Genetti Hotel and Conference Center, Wilkes-Barre. This event is for members only. The doors will open at 5:45 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. Music will be provided by The Shore Liners. For reservations, call Glen at 570-586-5359 or Herman at 570-654-6454.
