KINGSTON: Wilkes-Barre Chapter 342 of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE), 1 p.m., at Black Diamond American Legion, 386 Wyoming Avenue. All active and retired federal employees are invited. Pizza and light refreshments will be served.
NANTICOKE: The Wyoming Valley Mushroom Club, 7 p.m., in Room 105 in the Advanced Technology Center, Luzerne County Community College. Parking is available in the lot adjacent to the center. Plans will be finalized for the Mushroom Fair scheduled at Frances Slocum State Park. Anyone interested in becoming a member is welcome to attend.
SCRANTON: The Calligrapher’s Guild of Northeastern Pennsylvania, 7:30 p.m., at Marywood University, Insalaco Center for Studio Arts, Room 336A. A presentation on paper-folding techniques will be given. Members should bring good paper for a finished copy. Patterned practice paper will be provided. Refreshments will be served. DALLAS: The Tau Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, 11 a.m., at Irem Country Club. Upcoming activities will be discussed prior to a luncheon. Reservations due by Monday, Sept. 22. Annual dues of $75 for active members and $30 for reserved members are due by Friday, Oct. 31. Checks should be made payable to Tau and mailed or submitted at the meeting.
