Neil E. (Ted) Davis, age 71, of Hunlock Creek died Thursday at Mercy
Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.
Born April 17, 1933, in West Nanticoke, he was the son of the late Laning
and Anne (Killian) Davis. His mother died when he was young, so he was raised
by his grandmother Elizabeth Davis and an Aunt (B.) Elizabeth Killian. He
attended Harter High School. He was a member of Holy Trinity Church,
Nanticoke. He was a veteran serving with the U.S. Army in Germany. He was a
member of the VFW of Nanticoke, and the American Legion Post 350 of Nanticoke.
Prior to his retirement, he had been employed as a laborer with Local Union

security guard.

He was preceded in death by a brother, David Davis.

Surviving are his wife, the former Monica Pavlick; two daughters Deborah
Rinehimer of Hunlock Creek; and Kris Farrell of Nanticoke; one son Neil E. Jr.
of Hunlock Creek; three grandchildren, who were his pride and joy, Kelley
Rinehimer, Gabrielle Badowski and Richard Badowski; a sister, Nola Sorber of
Shickshinny. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral will be Monday at 9 a.m. from the S.J. Grontkowski Funeral
Home, 530 W. Main St., Plymouth, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at

from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made
to The Dialysis Patient Association on NEPA (DPA of NEPA), 512 Lackawanna
Ave., Mayfield, PA 18433.
