Trump says he 'can't think of any' regrets about 2024 campaign: 'Best of the three'
Former President Donald Trump said Tuesday he can't think of any regrets he has about his 2024 presidential campaign.
Trump cast his ballot Tuesday atthe Morton and Barbara Mandel Recreation Center in Palm Beach, Florida. He spoke with reporters afterwards, one of whom asked the former president whether he has any regrets about how he ran his campaign.
Look, regrets, you always have regrets, I can't think of any, to be honest," Trump responded. "To use her expression, 'I can't think of any.'"The remark appeared to reference Vice President Kamala Harris recently telling hosts of daytime talk show "The View" there is "not a thing that comes to mind" that she would have done differently than President Joe Biden over the last four years.
"Look, I ran a great campaign, I think it was maybe the best of the three," Trump continued. "I would say this is the best campaign we've run."
Trump on Tuesday also he does not want to see any violence committed related to the results of the election. He claimed he doesn't "have to tell" his supporters to follow such instruction.
"My supporters are not violent people," the former president said. "These are great people."
Both Trump and Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, his running mate, urged supporters to stay in polling lines Tuesday despite any long wait times.
"We're hearing a lot about long lines and high enthusiasm. Get in line, stay in line, and VOTE," Sen. Vance wrote on X. "Today is the day we take back our country."
