Two wounded in West Bank terror ramming attack, terrorist thwarted
A 26-year-old woman and a 15-year-old youth sustained light wounds after they were hit by a vehicle in a ramming attack near Shiloh in the West Bank, emergency service Magen David Adom (MDA) said on Wednesday.
The IDF said that a terrorist attempted to carry out a ramming terror attack in the Shiloh junction in the West Bank , after which he tried to stab civilians in the area.
The terrorist was thwarted, and IDF troops were present on the scene, the IDF added.
MDA paramedics treated the two wounded individuals who were fully conscious on site, in addition to several others who suffered from anxiety.
The two were subsequently transferred to the hospital.
Paramedics respond to attack
MDA paramedics Elad Kadmon and Ariel Shatawi recounted what they saw upon arrival at the scene.
"We arrived quickly at the scene and saw chaos. Two civilians, aged 26 and 15, were walking while fully conscious and suffering from minor injuries after apparently being struck by a vehicle. We provided them with initial medical treatment on site, and then evacuated them in MDA ambulances to the hospital, where their condition remains light. Several people at the scene were treated for anxiety by MDA teams but did not require further care at the hospital."
Later on Wednesday, Army Radio reported that the terrorist who had committed the attack was Harat Jabara, resident of a village near Tulkarm in the West Bank.
Earlier on Wednesday, Israeli media reported that a shooting incident had occurred at the entrance to the Shiloh settlement in the West Bank.
Two people were wounded, according to Israeli media. The terrorist, who was reportedly holding a knife, was thwarted. Stay updated with the latest news!
