Van driver survives after collision with Brightline train

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. (WFLA) — A Brightline train collided with a van in Pompano Beach on Tuesday, Newswire reports.

Videos taken by passengers of the train show the damaged van pushed to the side of the tracks at a crossing alongside fire and ambulance crews.

The video shows the van, which appears to be a commercial cleaning van, being towed away from the scene.

The driver of the van was taken to a local hospital as a precaution, and the train was evacuated.

Waymo on Tuesday opened its robotaxi service to anyone who wants a ride around Los Angeles, marking another milestone in the evolution of self-driving car technology since the company began as a secret project at Google 15 years ago.
