K.Thompson2 hr ago

The water company that services Horizon City said vandalism left residents without water.

According to the Lower Valley Water District, someone broke seven valve boxes Thursday night leaving some Horizon residents without water.

Officials with the water company added that whoever vandalized the valve boxes also stole the brass and copper equipment.

Lower Valley Water District's General Manager said the attack/theft was unprecedented.

"I've been here for twenty years as a director or general manager, and we've never experienced this out there in the desert."

The company also said that despite the return of water service Friday morning, some residents can still experience low pressure as the pumps are repaired.
