A large crowd of veterans and their families turned out Saturday for the Kenosha County Veterans Breakfast and Resource Fair at the Job Center.
The event included a free breakfast sponsored by Piasecki Funeral Home, as well as a short program including remarks by County Executive Samantha Kerkman and Veterans Services Director Jennifer Blasi.
A resource fair that continued throughout the morning offered informational booths from a wide variety of agencies and organizations that assist veterans, as well as free haircuts provided by Gateway Technical College students.
This was the first of many events to be held locally as Veterans Day approaches. A full list is available on the Kenosha County website at tinyurl.com/msnm2xp7 .
