DETROIT - They are toys the great-grandparents of your grandparents used to play with. A new vintage toy exhibit has just opened at a Michigan museum.

" Toy Town " is located inside the Detroit Historical Museum at 5401 Woodward Ave. in Detroit.

The exhibit, which features toys from the 1800s through the 1990s, is open through January 5, 2025.

Many of the toys are on loan to the museum from people who live in the community. Some of the toys even have photos next to them showing the moment the person received the toy as a gift as a child.

"Toy Town" is included with admission into the Detroit Historical Museum. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, students, active military and first responders, $6 for kids and ages 6 and under are free.

Also included with admission into the museum is the " Gridiron Heroes" Detroit Lions exhibit , featuring historic items from the franchise dating back to the 1930s. This exhibit is open through August 2025.
