A wanted Cleveland man, 60, was arrested at about 2 p.m. Nov. 1 after police caught him jaywalking on Bagley near Engle Road.

Police stopped the man and learned that he was wanted in Bedford for a traffic violation. They smelled alcohol on him and asked him if he was holding any weapons or illegal narcotics.

The man began to cry and said, "Why does this always happen to me?" He said he had a loaded handgun in his crossbody bag.

Police removed the weapon. The man laughed and cried. Police gave him a court date. The man returned to his room at Red Roof Inn on Bagley.

Warrant served, possession of dangerous drugs: Bardbury Avenue

A wanted Cleveland man, 54, was arrested at about 2:30 a.m. Nov. 3 after police found him wandering around Bardbury.

A resident had called police because the man was in his front yard. When police arrived, the man told them that a woman had invited him to a house on Bardbury, giving him the address of the yard in which he was standing.

The man said he had knocked on the door to the house but no one answered. He continued to communicate with the woman through text messages but he eventually determined that she had misled him.

Police learned that several warrants had been issued for the man's arrest. They placed him handcuffs. In his possession, police found a small container of what they believed was methamphetamine and a small pipe.

Police found five baggies of what they believed was methamphetamine and two bags of suspected heroin inside the larger bag.

As police were investigating, a Cleveland woman, 36, walked into the hotel. Workers told police that the woman had entered the hotel earlier, asking about the bag of drugs.

The woman told police that a friend of hers lost the bag. The friend was now accusing the woman of stealing it.
