1-year-old boy ran into steet before hit by SUV in Brooklyn, police say
BOROUGH PARK, Brooklyn (PIX11) — A 1-year-old boy darted out into the street before he was struck by a truck near his Brooklyn home Thursday afternoon, police said.
The child's mom was chasing after him before he was hit by a black SUV near 59th Street and 12th Avenue in Borough Park around 3:20 p.m., according to the NYPD.

The boy was rushed to the hospital and remained in critical condition as of Friday morning, police said.
The incident was caught on a neighbor's surveillance video, which showed the boy running out between two parked cars and into the street with his mom close behind. After he was hit, the woman picked up her son and moved him out of the street, the video showed.
Police said the SUV driver remained at the scene, but it was unclear if any charges would be filed.
