Jackson Daly showed off his pizza-making skills on TODAY with some good-natured pointers from mom and dad.

The 15-year-old son of TODAY's Carson Daly and his wife, Siri, made a vodka sauce pizza with prosciutto on Nov. 15 as part of a segment featuring tailgate foods for the upcoming Sunday Night Football matchup between the Cincinnati Bengals and Los Angeles Chargers.

Carson made the mission clear before Jackson started breaking down the recipe for TODAY fans.

"Let's do this," Carson said. "Don't screw it up, Jackson."

Wearing a No. 21 Bengals jersey, Jackson tried to get started as Carson set the scene.

"Good to see you guys, we made it," Carson said. "We woke up early, we drove into work together, and we're here. We're on television, let's just start immediately. It's crazy."

Siri, a food blogger and cookbook author , couldn't help but laugh.

"It's not normal," Carson said. "We were in the kitchen two hours ago yelling at each other, and now we're on TV."

"And you'll be in school in an hour," Siri told Jackson.

Jackson noted that the orange pizza matched perfectly with the Bengals' colors before he showed how to make a homemade vodka sauce with Carson's help.

"Going to put the tomato paste in there," Jackson said.

"No, not yet," Siri pointed out.

"We've got to go, guys," Carson urged while looking at the clock.

"That was totally the wrong order," Siri said.

"Should I just leave?" Carson joked. "I'm just going to leave."

Jackson smoothly pulled things together to give his take on how a homemade vodka sauce is "richer" with "more flavor" than regular tomato sauce on pizza.

He admittedly didn't know all the specifications for cooking the pizza.

"If you just have a normal oven, you want to cook it really hot," he said. "I honestly don't really know how hot. Very hot."

Siri then shared her recipe for smashed potato nachos , another excellent tailgate snack.

Carson and Siri's love of cooking has certainly rubbed off on the oldest of their four children .

"He trusts his gut," Siri said. "He's got a great palate. He just kind of creates whatever."

Jackson received a five-star review from the TODAY family for his pizza.

"It's incredible, Jack," Savannah Guthrie said.

After a bumpy start with the sauce, Jackson brought it home.

"Excellent job," Carson said. "You're no longer grounded anymore — for doing such a good job."

Jackson raised his fist in triumph.

"The Dalys crushed it," Hoda Kotb said.

This wasn't Jackson's first time in front of the camera on TODAY, as he adorably helped out Carson as the " graphics department " for his PopStart segments during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. He also has been a reporter and interviewer on "NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt: Kids Edition" for four years.

However, this was Jackson's first time attempting a cooking segment.

"That will be really, really cool because he's never cooked on the show with me before, and he's a huge foodie and very talented in the kitchen," Siri said in a video on her Instagram story on Nov. 14.

Siri also shared a video on her Instagram story of Jackson prepping his food on TODAY and a photo of their adorable toddler goddaughter watching him on TV at home.
