We’ll start to see some better weather return as November transitions to December

HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - After a colder and snowy holiday weekend, we’re going to return to some more reasonable weather in the coming days ahead.

For most, today will be a fairly quiet day. But those in the north and east will see some extra clouds. Even some flurries are possible. But as you go to the southwest, there should be plenty of sunshine. Winds will be a bit breezy out of the west northwest. Those winds and the sun should help continue to melt any snow that is left on the ground. Highs will range from the mid 30s to the mid 40s from north to south. Overnight, skies look to be mostly clear. But there is potential for fog to develop after midnight. If said fog does develop, we’ll have to watch for potential freezing fog and slick conditions. Lows will be down into the 10s and lower 20s tomorrow morning.

Some fog may continue into tomorrow morning before giving way to sunny skies. It should be a little bit warmer with highs on Tuesday into the 40s and lower 50s. Winds will again be breezy out of the west. Temperatures will dip down into the 10s and 20s again tomorrow night with clear skies. Wednesday will likely be the nicest day of weather this week with a lot of sunshine and less wind. Highs will reach the upper 40s and low to mid 50s. A cold front will pass through Wednesday night, but no moisture is expected. Temperatures will be chillier for the end of the week and there will be a few more clouds around. Highs will mostly be in the mid to upper 30s and lower 40s. It may be a few degrees warmer on Saturday with highs in the upper 30s and low to mid 40s. But there is a slight chance of some light rain or snow. If the moisture does occur, temperatures may be a few degrees cooler. Sunday looks to be a few degrees warmer into the mid to upper 40s and lower 50s. The warming trend should continue into next week with a lot more 50s in store. Quiet weather is also expected with little to no moisture.
