Wexford theatre group gears up for Irish premiere of much-loved classic ‘A Christmas Carol’

At a special event in Sinnott's Bar the group celebrated its 30th anniversary and were joined by the production team of its very first show in 1994, Suzanne O'Leary, Patrick Clancy, Alan Corcoran and Mark Redmond.

A Christmas Carol – The Musical is an adaptation of the classic Charles Dickens' novel and will be "magically enhanced with music from award-winning composer Alan Menken" and promises to bring the audiences of Wexford on "a sentimental, feel-good journey to get you in that Christmas mood".

The show features award winning cast including Kevin Reade as Ebenezer Scrooge, Neal O'Leary as The Ghost of Jacob Marley, Michael O'Gorman as Bob Cratchit, 13-year-old Aidan Morrissey as Tiny Tim, Jenny Keogh as the Ghost of Christmas Past, Conor Lyons as the Ghost of Christmas Present, Emma Nolan as the Ghost of Christmas Future, along with a cast and chorus of local talent, young and old.

The production team consists of Thomas O'Leary as director, musical director Patrick Clancy and choreographer Jonny Smith. A Christmas Carol - The Musical comes to The National Opera House stage for five nights only from Sunday, November 24 to Thursday, November 28 at 7:30 p.m. nightly.
