Whittier and Hugh Bish elementary schools put on Veterans Day concert

LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) - Students from Whittier and Hugh Bish Elementary Schools in Lawton made their way on post on Thursday, Nov. 7, to have a concert for Veterans.

This event took place at the Sheridan Theatre on Fort Sill where students performed for not only Veterans but also their parents.

Music teacher at Whittier Elementary, Amanda Spannagel, says this is just one way they can give back to those who have given everything.

"This is a very small way that we're able to thank them for their service through our song and our performance for them today," Spannagel said. "And what a great way for two schools to come together and do that for all the men and women across the country."
