Will Amari Cooper play for the Buffalo Bills this week against Tennessee Titans?

Following the trade early this week that sent him from the Cleveland Browns to the Buffalo Bills , wide receiver Amari Cooper is expected to make his Bills debut in Week 7 home game against the Tennessee Titans . During his introductory press conference, Cooper said says he's ready to dive in , but he knows it's a short turnaround to play Sunday afternoon.

As such, it's best to manage expectations for Cooper's debut this weekend. Head coach Sean McDermott was previously undecided about Cooper's availability this weekend, while both general manager Brandon Beane and offensive coordinator Joe Brady were optimistically cautious about the role he'd be able to play after only a few days in the building.

It appears now, according to a report by Jordan Schultz, that the 10-year NFL veteran has adjusted well enough to Joe Brady's playbook, and he's ready to catch passes from quarterback Josh Allen. For most of Bills Mafia, Cooper's arrival couldn't come soon enough.

After watching Buffalo's pass catchers struggle to begin the season, Brandon Beane decided the wide receivers room needed a jump-start and someone with proven production from a wide variety of teams and quarterbacks. Enter Amari Cooper.

To make room for Cooper, the Bills released wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling . MVS struggled to make headway in the offense, never establishing a meaningful on-field connection with Allen.

Cooper's arrival isn't meant to replace MVS' unmet role, but rather offer the team a more consistent threat and primary boundary receiver in an effort to more fully diversify the offense. To this point, the bulk of production has come from the slot with wide receiver Khalil Shakir, and at tight end from Dalton Kincaid. In Cooper, teams will no longer be able to key in on just one player depending on personnel .

Of course, Cooper landing at One Bills Drive wasn't the biggest trade news of the week. That instead belongs to the AFC East rival New York Jets and their deal with the Las Vegas Raiders to land wide receiver Davante Adams — a player oft-connected to Buffalo in recent seasons. Still, many believe the Bills pulled off the more favorable trade , and immediate grades have been strong .

It's anyone's guess as to how quickly Amari Cooper will adapt to the Buffalo Bills' offensive playbook, but following a trade that sent him from the Raiders to the Dallas Cowboys , Cooper posted 53 receptions for 725 yards and six touchdowns. Will lightning strike twice for Cooper to have another productive campaign off an in-season trade?

Bills fans get their first glimpse Sunday afternoon.
