CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) -Other than a freak Nov. 1 snow, Monday night into Tuesday morning will be the first substantial blast Northeast Ohio will have seen since last winter. Cleveland 19 First Alert Meteorologists have designated both day as “Alert Days” meaning the impact of the weather is something we will all need to pay attention to. Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) certainly is with 200 crews ready to hit Ohio highway in Northeast Ohio. According to ODOT spokesperson Amanda McFarland, there was no pretreating for this even because Sunday’s rain would have simply washed it away. Some areas in the snowbelt to the east of Cleveland have already seen plow trucks out, and salting has started. With the event crews have moved to 12-hour shifts around the clock according to McFarland. We have reach out to the city of Cleveland to see if its’ crews are ready, including a plow tracking system that’s been in the work for two years now. A check of what is supposed to be an interactive map , posted on the city’s snow plan page, shows a page error. Although, it does say the map will only be active during a snow event.
