Winter in Dayton: NOAA provides outlook update

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Winter in the Miami Valley is always a toss-up. In previous years, some days Dayton is known to experience frigid temperatures, while turning unseasonably warm on others.

In the latest update from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the organization currently believes the Dayton area will likely experience above normal precipitation and temperatures from December to February 2025.

"Remember... it can (and will) still snow even if the winter ends up warmer-than-normal," said the National Weather Service in Wilmington. "Always be prepared!"

In August, WDTN.com reported The Farmers' Almanac winter prediction, which called for the area to experience cold temperatures with snowy and wet conditions.
