Winter weather advisory in effect in Fort Morgan

Fort Morgan is under a winter weather advisory from 8 a.m. today to noon Saturday, with wet snow expected, according to the National Weather Service.

The advisory calls for total snow accumulations between 2 and 8 inches, with the heaviest snowfall south of I-76.

Saturday: Rain and snow before 11am, then a slight chance of rain. High near 43. Northwest wind 8 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 21. West southwest wind 6 to 8 mph.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 49. West southwest wind 3 to 8 mph. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph.
