Woman dies from reported stabbing in Dayton

DAYTON, Ohio ( WDTN ) — A woman has died after arriving at the hospital with stab wounds.

The Dayton Police Department reports officers were dispatched to Fernwood Avenue on reports of a person stabbed. This happened on Nov. 7 around 8:30 a.m.

Woman in 'critical condition' after crash into tree

Upon arrival, officers found three people in an abandoned home — two witnesses and the victim. The stabbing victim was identified as a female in her 20s or 30s.

She was transported to Miami Valley Hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

The two witnesses were detained, but told police that the person who stabbed the woman left the scene before they could arrive.

Detective's with the DPD Homicide Unit are investigating.
