NYSP searching for hit-and-run suspect in Rome
ROME, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) — New York State Police are asking for the public's help in a hit-and-run in the City of Rome last week.
Police say that on Friday, November 1 at approximately 4:45 am, a pickup truck was traveling northbound on Turin Road in the city. It exited the east shoulder of the roadway, where it struck a parked tow truck in the parking lot of Frank Lamonica and Sons, a nearby auto shop.
Police say the photos above and below were taken from nearby surveillance cameras. State Police believe the vehicle is a gray Ford F-250 or 350 with a model year between 2017 and 2022.
The vehicle is believed to have front-end damage, specifically to the fog light. The plow attached to the truck is also believed to be damaged, as it was seen scraping the ground in surveillance footage. The plow's mount is also likely to be heavily damaged.
