Woman in U.S. Illegally Accused of Raping Central Florida 12-Year-Old Boy

A 20-year-old woman living in the U.S. illegally has been accused of raping a Central Florida 12-year-old boy. Amanda Romero Maradiaga, of DeBary, was arrested and has been charged with lewd or lascivious battery of a 12-year-old boy. She allegedly raped the child at the boy's father's home in DeBary.

The arrest report indicates the child shared time living at his mother's house in Sanford and his father's house in DeBary. The mother reportedly alerted law enforcement after she noticed her son was in pain.

The 12-year-old then told investigators that the 20-year-old woman forced him to have sexual intercourse.

Based on information from law enforcement, it appears the father could be implicated, and he reportedly stated he did not see a problem with his underage son having sex with an older woman.

The woman who is in the country undocumented was taken into custody and is being held with no bond, according to local law enforcement.
