Woman killed in central Pa. stabbing ID’d

A 50-year-old woman was stabbed to death Sunday afternoon in Lancaster County, the coroner's office said. Carmen Martinez-Silva, of Lancaster, was found dead in the front yard of a home on the 2900 block of Dell Lane in East Hempfield Township, according to the coroner's office. The coroner's office said Martinez-Silva's death was ruled a homicide from stab wounds to the body. She was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:41 p.m. East Hempfield Township police said two other people, including an unnamed suspect, were hurt in the stabbing and taken to Lancaster General Hospital. No charges have been announced as of Monday. Police said the stabbing was first reported at about 1:40 p.m. Sunday. Anyone with information can call East Hempfield Township Police Department Det.
