Woman killed in Nashville bus stop stabbing, WeGo bus driver witnessed attack

A WeGo Bus driver pulled up to a horrific sight Friday morning as a woman was brutally attacked in a stabbing that ultimately killed her.

The driver called 911 at a bus stop near the intersection of Harding Place and Antioch Pike at about 5:15 a.m. He remained on scene to help Nashville police officers identify the alleged attacker, who was taken into custody after a group of people tackled him and held onto him until the authorities arrived, police said.

The woman was taken to a hospital, where she died, police said.

Investigators shut down a portion of Harding Place at Antioch Pike to continue their investigation.
