Chick-fil-A has arrived in the Northland.

The chicken chain's latest Minnesota location opened Thursday in Duluth, drawing long lines of drive-thru customers to the new restaurant located on the north side of the Miller Hill Mall.

In celebration of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. donated $25,000 to be distributed to Second Harvest Northland . The Duluth location will also provide free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year to 100 residents chosen as local heroes, according to a press release.

The new restaurant is open Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. until 10 p.m.

Thursday's opening is not the first time Chick-fil-A's arrival caused traffic backups in Minnesota, as captured by footage from opening day in Blaine last year .
