A woman has pleaded guilty to causing the death by dangerous driving of a baby girl who was hit by a car outside a hospital.

Bridget Curtis, 70, of Begelly in south-west Wales, appeared at Swansea crown court on Friday, where she admitted the charge relating to the death of eight-month-old Mabli Cariad Hall.

Mabli died of severe traumatic brain injuries after being struck by a white BMW while in her pram at the front entrance of Withybush hospital in Pembrokeshire on 1 June 2023.

She was airlifted to the University hospital of Wales in Cardiff and later transferred to Bristol Royal hospital for children, where she died in the early hours of 25 June.

Judge Geraint Walters released Curtis on unconditional bail. She will be sentenced at Swansea crown court on 22 November.
