Woman struck, killed near I-35, S. Lone Elm in Olathe

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Olathe police are investigating a deadly crash where they say a woman who walking in the area of Interstate 35 and S. Lone Elm Road was struck and killed.
Police say this happened at about 6:15 on Thursday night and the victim was 37 years old.

Investigators say a man driving a pickup truck hit the woman, and while emergency crews attempted to save her life, she died at the scene. Police haven't identified her yet.
The pickup driver stayed at the scene is cooperating with the investigation according to police, who ask anyone with further information to call the department at (913) 971-6363 or the TIPS Hotline at (816) 474-TIPS.
