18-year-old hit, killed in crash in Greenville Co.

(WSPA) – An 18-year-old died Sunday evening in a crash in Greenville County.
The Greenville County Coroner's Office identified Alex Francisco Baltazar, of Greenville, as the pedestrian who was hit in the fatal crash that occurred in the area of Hutchins Street.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, before 7 p.m., a Ford pickup truck attempted to turn from Whitten Street to Hutchins Street when the vehicle hit Baltazar.
It was reported that Baltazar had knelt or squatted down in the roadway before the crash occurred.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The coroner's office said an autopsy has been scheduled for Monday to determine the cause and manner of Baltazar's death.
The crash remains under investigation by the SCHP.
