York man facing charges after large stash of meth seized from home

YORK, Neb. (KOLN) - A York man accused of selling meth from his home in York is facing multiple charges. According to court documents, Lincoln-Lancaster County Narcotics Task Force investigators became aware that Darrell Damme, 51, was selling large amounts of meth from his home in York. On Oct. 21, investigators served a search warrant at the home and seized methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, THC products, money order receipts indicating Damme had been sending money to Mexico, and a safe from his bedroom, court documents show. The safe contained $2,935 in cash. Investigators found additional items in the garage, including a toolbox with two plastic containers containing 605.4 grams of meth, according to court documents. The locked toolbox also contained several empty plastic bags and two digital scales. Damme was arrested the next day outside of a hotel in Lincoln and transported to the York County Jail. Damme was charged with possession of methamphetamine 140+ grams, possession of money while violating a drug statute, possession of a controlled substance and no drug tax stamp. His bond was set at 10% of $250,000. He will appear in York County Court for a hearing on Nov. 13 at 9 a.m.
