COLUMBUS, Ohio (WKBN) – Ohio Attorney General David Yost joined 50 other attorneys general in the U.S. in calling for a peaceful transfer of power following the Nov. 5 election.

Yost said Monday that the coalition came together to condemn any political violence after a national poll indicated widespread concern about post-election unrest.

Yost said that elected leaders have a duty to ensure public order, promote national unity and remind Americans of the importance of civil discourse.

The coalition urges other leaders and Americans as a whole to join in upholding these shared values and preserving the nation's foundational legacy.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) warned Saturday about two fake videos being circulated relating to election security. One stated the FBI has apprehended three linked groups committing fraud and a second relating to the Second Gentleman. The videos are not authentic, the FBI said, and the content is false.

The FBI urges everyone to seek election and voting information from reliable sources, such as your local election office. If you suspect criminal activity, report it to state and local law enforcement or your FBI field office.
