Zendaya has revealed the moment she was first introduced to her boyfriend Tom Holland , spilling that they actually met before they started filming the 2017 film Spider-Man: Homecoming.

The Euphoria actress, 28, has been loved up with the Peter Parker star , also 28, since 2021, five years after the Hollywood heavyweights starred alongside each other in the superhero movie.

Lifting the lid on when Tom first came into her life, Zendaya shared they met during a chemistry read.

The revelation came as she opened up about feeling 'strangely comfortable' working with him.

She divulged: 'It's like second nature, if anything. You feel extra safe with the person you're acting beside.

'I love working with him. He's so talented, and so passionate about what he does.'

Speaking to Variety for the 2025 Hollywood Issue, she continued: 'He always gives things one thousand percent, even if he's absolutely worn down. I really appreciate that about him. It feels pretty normal.

'That's how we met. Literally, at a chemistry read.'

This isn't the first time Zendaya has shed insight into her relationship with Tom in recent months.

In April, the talented A-lister gushed about their relationship as she graced the cover of British Vogue's May Issue.

Speaking about how they've grown together, she said: 'We were both very, very young, but my career was already kind of going, and his changed overnight

'I definitely watched his life kind of change in front of him. But he handled it really beautifully.'

Zendaya also revealed that she has also considered the prospect of starting a family in the public eye, admitting she doesn't want her future children to 'have to deal with her fame.'

She said: 'It's a matter of sustainability, how she can continue to make this demanding business that she loves so dearly work for her.

'Because I don't necessarily want my kids to have to deal with this [fame]''... and what does my future look like? Am I going to be a public-facing person forever?'

Discussing her fame, she added: 'You just kind of get used to the fact that, ''Oh, I'm also one of these art pieces you're going to take a picture of.'' I just gotta be totally cool with it and just live my life.'

'I think growing up, I always felt like when someone asks for a picture, I have to do it, all the time. You have to say yes, because you just need to be grateful that you're here.

'And while I still feel that way, I also have learnt that I can say no, and I can say kindly that I'm having a day off, or I'm just trying to be myself today, and I don't actually have to perform all the time.'

Earlier this month, Tom admitted he often checks up on his superstar girlfriend by googling her.

The actor explained: 'The last thing I googled was actually Zendaya I'm not on socials and I delete it when I'm not using it. So sometimes like - it's more of a bit of an anxiety thing.

'I'll check to see if everything's good and to make sure we're all cool. So I just give her a little Google and look through the news and I'm like, "she's good."'
