Mark A. Phillips

Mark Allen Phillips, 69, of Blandon, PA, passed away on November 17, 2024, at Reading Hospital, West Reading, PA. Born on May 4, 1955, in Frankfurt, Germany, Mark was the son of the late Glenn M. Phillips and Darlene R. (Dellinger) Phillips.

A 1973 graduate of Fleetwood High School, Mark excelled in baseball and track during his school years. After school, he continued to play ball on club softball teams with his family. He was also a talented trumpeter and performed with the Reading Buccaneers Drum & Bugle Corps. Mark dedicated more than 45 years of service to Carpenter Technology Corp. He was a member of the Community Baptist Church in Fleetwood, PA.

Mark cherished the outdoors, frequently spending time at his family's hunting cabin in the mountains. He was an avid hunter of deer and small game. A lifelong baseball fan, he cheered for the Phillies and the Boston Red Sox. Mark also enjoyed vacationing in Ocean City, Maryland, and engaging in puzzles and games. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

Mark is survived by his wife of 40 years, Donna A. Phillips of Blandon, PA; his children, Matthew A. Phillips (husband of Amanda L.), Kristen M. Klick (wife of Kyle J.), and Erin M. Maicher (wife of Steven N.); and his cherished granddaughter, Giavonna A. Klick. He is also survived by his brothers, Scott Phillips (husband of Lynn), Craig Phillips (husband of Meg), and Dean Phillips (husband of Ellen), along with many nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Friday, November 22, 2024, at Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, Inc., 117 W. Main St., Fleetwood, PA. Burial will follow at Fleetwood Cemetery, 203 E. Main St., Fleetwood, PA. Online condolences may be shared at www.MaeStumpFuneralHome.com.
