7 teens injured in separate crashes Wednesday in Kansas
WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – The Kansas Highway Patrol is investigating two separate crashes that left seven teens injured on Wednesday. One happened in Elkhart in Morton County, and the other in Ellis County.
In the Elkhart crash, a Chevy Silverado with four teens and a Suzuki with two teens were southbound on Sunset Drive around 8:45 p.m. The KHP said the Suzuki turned left, crashing into the pickup. All six teens, ranging in age from 15 to 18, were taken to Morton County Hospital for minor injuries.
Attempted theft leads to man's death in parking lot, police say
In Ellis County, a 17-year-old girl received minor injuries when the Ford Ranger she was driving left old U.S. Highway 40 and rolled. It happened around 11:20 a.m. The girl was taken to Hays Medical Center.
