Two in custody after crash in Omaha's Midtown Police with the University of Nebraska Omaha have taken two people into custody following an early morning crash.

The incident happened in Midtown near 39th and Dodge at around 3 a.m. Monday.

The two reportedly ran from the crash.

One in serious condition after crashing in Millard One person is in the hospital after an early morning crash in Millard.

It happened around 3 a.m. Monday near 120th and L Streets.

Authorities have confirmed with 6 News that the victim is in serious condition.

Four in hospital after head-on crash near Pacific Junction Three adults and one juvenile are in the hospital after a crash near Pacific Junction in Iowa.

The crash happened on Sunday just after noon on Highway 34 at the I-29 exit.

A report states that a 2023 Honda Accord was exiting off northbound I-29 onto Highway 34 when it turned westbound onto the eastbound lanes of Highway 34 and struck a 2006 GMC Yukon head-on.

Two people in the Honda and two people in the Yukon, one of them a juvenile, were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Others sustained minor injuries.

Omaha crews investigating house fire in Little Italy The Omaha Fire Department responded to a fire at a house in Little Italy on Sunday.

Crews were called to a home near 6th and William Streets shortly before 10 a.m. Saturday.

A report states that no one was in the house at the time of the fire. There are also no injuries to report.

Three cats were found dead and another cat was not found.

Damages are estimated at $50,000. The cause of the fire is being investigated.

Veterans Day events held in the Omaha-metro Many in the Omaha-metro are commemorating Veterans Day on Monday.

Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo is offering free gate admission to active and retired military members, veterans, and their families Monday. The zoo is open from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

There is also free entry at the Pottawattamie County Conservation Parks on Veteran' Day, including: Arrowhead Park in Neola, Iowa, Botna Bend Park in Hancock, Iowa, Hitchcock Nature Center in Honey Creek, Iowa, and Olde Town Park in Macedonia, Iowa.

The Stephen Center is holding an outdoor ceremony at 9 a.m. Monday.

Nebraska Gov. Jim Pillen says he will be lighting the State Capitol green in honor of military veterans.

Report shows new weekly gas prices in Omaha Average gas prices in Omaha have reportedly fallen 6.7 cents per gallon in the last week.

A GasBuddy price report found that gas now averages $2.66 a gallon on Monday, as they survey 300 gas stations in the metro.

"Prices in Omaha are 21.0 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 52.4 cents per gallon lower than a year ago," GasBuddy says.

Meanwhile, the national average has fallen 2.6 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging at $3.03 a gallon.
