A soggy Friday followed by mild flow into the weekend
A milder flow will persist over the area through this weekend. Several waves of energy will move northeast along a slow moving frontal boundary. This means periods of rain expected on Friday with some showers into Saturday, otherwise expect lots of clouds. Then another wave of low pressure will bring the chance for more showers on Sunday.
Here’s a look at futuretrack during the late morning on Friday. Showers will generally be light to moderate through the afternoon.
It will be a decent rainfall for the area, but not all that impressive either. Rain amounts will average right around 0.25′′ by Friday evening. Here’s a look at some hometown forecasted rain totals.
The positive news, as we head into the weekend will be feeling above average temperatures. Thanks to a southerly flow high temperatures will manage to top out in the 50’s both Saturday and Sunday. Have you gotten the tree up yet? Have you finished the holiday decorations outside? Despite the chance of showers and lots of clouds it will decent weekend to be outdoors a bit too.
Cooler conditions return by the middle of next week along with the chance for some wintry precipitation come Wednesday. We will continue to fine tune that forecast and keep you posted!
