Afternoon temperatures below average for the first time in more than two weeks

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — This morning is cooler than yesterday, and we are also continuing our dry weather. Sunshine is the main headline before the rain returns tomorrow. High temperatures this afternoon will be below average for the first time since October 27th, 17 days ago. Low temperatures will not be quite as cold tonight just a couple of degrees warmer as clouds will be increasing ahead of a cold front. Inland will be in the mid and upper-40s and near 50 degrees at the coast. Another cold front will bring scattered rain Thursday beginning in the mid-morning and lasting all afternoon. Rainfall will be mostly light again with 0.25′′-1.0′′ expected. Higher rainfall totals are expected along the border belt. High temperatures will only be in the upper-50s to near 60 degrees inland and mid-60s at the coast tomorrow. Out in the tropics, an area in the southwest Caribbean now has a 90% of developing into a tropical depression, and a stronger system now seems likely. Read the latest in Tracking the Tropics .
