Argument turns into deadly shooting in west Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio ( WCMH ) – A man is dead after a shooting occurred on the far west side of the city Sunday night.

According to Columbus police, an adult male was found suffering life-threatening injuries after a shooting in the 1000 block of Cliff Creek Drive in the Wexford-Thornapple neighborhood, just west of Hilliard Rome Road.

Police said that an argument between the unnamed victim and 22-year-old Alejandro Angulo-Ramos led to the shooting, which took place at around 10:30 p.m. Sunday. The victim was taken to a local hospital, but was pronounced dead at 11:07 p.m.

An arrest warrant has been filed for Angulo-Ramos, who is being charged with murder. The name of the victim will be released after next of kin is notified.
