BLUFFTON, S.C. (WSAV) – The Bluffton Breeze and the Lowcountry Regional Transportation Authority (LRTA) have declared Monday, Sept. 23, to be "Bluffton Car Free Day."

As an extra incentive to embrace Bluffton Car Free Day, anyone who chooses to leave their car parked and ride the Bluffton Breeze today will receive a free transit tote.

"Bluffton Car Free Day is the perfect opportunity for anyone who's been interested in giving The Bluffton Breeze a try," said Mary Lou Franzoni, LRTA Executive Director. "The Bluffton Breeze operates weekdays year-round, offering an alternative to driving on the often congested roadways across Bluffton and Okatie."

"The Bluffton Breeze has more than 60 stops, so it's very likely that our routes are either a short walk or bicycle ride from you location," added Franzoni. "And each of our vehicles is equipped with a bicycle rack and a wheelchair lift making them 100% accessible."

The LRTA encourages interested passengers to visit the Bluffton Breeze website for complete details about the routes and their destinations or to call the Bluffton Breeze customer contact center at 853-757-5782.
