Arkansas teen arrested after drive-by shooting, police chase
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — An 18-year-old is in custody after a drive-by shooting led to a police chase on Friday in Marianna, Arkansas.
The Marianna Police Department says they responded to the 300 block of Doby Lane regarding a shots-fired call. Upon arrival, officers say several cars began speeding away from the scene.
When the cars refused to stop, a police chase was initiated. Shortly afterward, the chase ended near Highway 1 and Highway 242 in Phillips County.

Officers say preliminary findings led to the arrest of 18-year-old Omari Palmer.
Palmer is charged with four counts of terroristic acts, two counts of aggravated assault, fleeing, and 16 counts of misdemeanor charges. His bond has not been set.
"We are thankful that no one was injured in this dangerous incident," said Chief Rodney Perry. "However, this type of reckless behavior endangers the safety of our community. Our officers acted swiftly and decisively to bring the situation under control, but we still need the public's help to fully understand what led to this act of violence. Anyone with information is encouraged to come forward."
