BREAKING: Firefighters & first responders responding to large fire near Auburn, potentially other fires

Mid-Michigan, Mich. (WNEM) - We are getting reports of a large fire near Auburn this afternoon, and other reports of potential fires through social media comments. We have staff on scene and are working to send more to the area.

The fire we can confirm from Tittabawassee Township Fire Department is near Auburn and the Williams Township area in Bay County. We will work to confirm other reports as well as information is coming in quickly this afternoon.

For those in the path of these fires, be sure to follow any local evacuation orders from first responders. Red Flag Warnings are currently in place due to the dry conditions and high winds this afternoon. Avoid burning if you can.
