Broncos vs. Buccaneers prediction, odds and best bet for NFL Week 3: Can Denver finally break through?

One team wants to keep rolling. The other wants to get off the schneid. Will desperation win out over momentum when Denver (0-2) visits Tampa Bay (2-0)?

Because of the records and the fact that Tampa is playing at home, the Buccaneers are strong favorites to dispatch the Broncos. Let's look at our Broncos vs. Bucs prediction, odds and best bet for NFL Week 3.

Our Broncos vs. Buccaneers prediction: Tampa Bay Buccaneers -6.5 ( -115 odds at DraftKings Sportsbook )

This being a potential sandwich spot for Tampa Bay as spelled out below is worth considering. On the other hand, maybe the Bucs' veteran leadership will be strong enough not to let that get in the way.

Tampa Bay was strong on defense throughout the win in Detroit, and the Broncos don't boast nearly the firepower that the Lions do.

Read my detailed breakdown of the Week 3 matchup below.

NFL Week 3 Broncos vs. Buccaneers odds This is a common scenario in NFL betting when choosing your online sportsbook is important. If you want to bet on the Broncos, you'll want to find a sportsbook that has Denver +7. If you want to bet on the Bucs, you should look for one that has Bucs -6.5.

Tampa Bay is 2-0 against the spread. The Bucs won by 17 points as 4-point favorites in Week 1 and won outright as 7.5-point underdogs at Detroit last weekend.

Denver is 1-1 ATS. The Broncos lost by six points as 6.5-point underdogs at Seattle in Week 1. In Week 2, they lost by seven points to visiting Pittsburgh as 2.5-point underdogs.

Both teams have played 1 Over and 1 Under.

Why Tampa Bay could win as the favorite This is one of the more straightforward paths to victory on the entire NFL Week 3 schedule.

The Bucs have a proven quarterback and better skill players throughout the offense. Plus, they're playing at home and have already shown how good they are by winning on the road against the Lions.

The defense hasn't necessarily been amazing, but Denver rookie QB Bo Nix hasn't shown an ability to move the offense consistently.

Why Denver could win as the underdog This could be a tough week for the Broncos. Their best path to victory is likely if the Bucs suffer a letdown in performance level after last week's big win over Detroit.

Tampa also has to play Philadelphia next week — a rematch of one of last season's NFC Wild Card playoff games. So this could be considered a sandwich spot for Tampa.

Denver's defense has been decent so far and got two turnovers in the first half of the season opener against Seattle. The Broncos used that to take a halftime lead before Seattle rallied in the second half.

Turnovers often change games in the NFL, so a couple of those early could make the Bucs get tight and perform at a lower level.
