SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Neb. (KCAU)– Hundreds of Siouxlanders gathered in South Sioux City to celebrate Latino heritage.

The fourth annual Celebrando Siouxland Heritage Festival kicked off Sunday at the Jeffery Dible Soccer Complex with several food trucks for folks to eat from, vendors and local non-profits to chat with, and live music from local bands to jam out to.

This event is run by Unity In Action, a South Sioux City non-profit that aids the Latino community. Officials said the event helps celebrate Hispanic heritage.

"We want to create activities that promote a sense of belonging. And so with this, we hope to build our community and just really celebrate school and write our diversity," said Olga Guevara, with Unity in Action.

This year marks Unity In Action's 10th year helping the Latino community in Siouxland.
