‘Christmas Town’ returns to Belvidere’s Summerfield Zoo
BELVIDERE, Ill. (WTVO) — Summerfield Zoo is bringing Santa and his reindeer back for the annual "Christmas Town" event.
"We are so excited to invite everyone back to Christmas Town at Summerfield Zoo! Come meet Santa's Reindeer and watch his sleigh team prepare for their magical flight on Christmas Eve. These are truly amazing animals that provide not only a magical, but an educational experience for kids and adults of all ages! This year we will also open our small mammal building so that visitors can see some of our warmer climate animals like our sloth and capybaras!" says Rick Anderson, owner at Summerfield Zoo.
Christmas Town will feature Santa's Reindeer Barn and reindeer flight school training sessions, while Santa Claus will take up residence in his cottage.
The Flying Reindeer Gift Shop will feature Christmas decor and gifts, snacks, and baking mixes.
Train rides around the zoo will also be available.
Admission is $16 per person. Open Saturdays and Sundays November 16th – December 22nd and Friday November 29th. Saturdays 10 am to 5 pm. Sundays 10 am to 4 pm. November 29th 10 am to 4 pm.
