Crash causes partial closure of Lancaster County highway

LANCASTER, S.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A serious car accident has closed much of U.S. 521 in Lancaster County Friday night.

Around 9:30 p.m., Queen City News observed a slew of emergency personnel on scene of a two-vehicle collision on US 521 at Shiloh Unity Road, just north of the city of Lancaster. One of the cars involved was a Ford Explorer.

As of 10 p.m. all lanes of northbound 521 are blocked, and southbound has one lane open at Shiloh Unity.

South Carolina state troopers, firefighters and EMS were at the scene.

QCN is working to learn the number and extent of any injuries.
