EL PASO, Texas ( KTSM ) — Crime Stoppers of El Paso and the El Paso Police Department (EPPD) need your help in finding the driver of a semi-truck responsible for a hit-and-run crash that left a 50-year-old motorcyclist dead last month in East El Paso.

This is this week's featured "Crime of the Week," as publicized by Crime Stoppers.

As KTSM previously reported, a 50-year-old man was riding his motorcycle when he became "dislodged" from his vehicle and was struck by a semi-truck and four other vehicles on Sept. 8 at Interstate 10 East near Airway.

Motorcyclist hit, killed by semi that fled, 4 other vehicles

At about 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 8, Ricardo Cuellar, 50, was traveling on I-10 East when he rear-ended a car, causing him to be ejected from his motorcycle and fall onto the road, according to Crime Stoppers.

Crime Stoppers and EPPD said a semi-truck hit Cuellar and fled the scene. Several other vehicles also hit Cuellar and they remained on the scene.

Cuellar died at the scene and the only information investigators have about the semi-truck is that it was described as white, according to Crime Stoppers.

Anyone with information about the semi-truck is asked to call Crime Stoppers immediately at (915) 566-8477 (TIPS) or visit online at www.cselpaso.org. You will remain anonymous and if your tip leads to an arrest, you may qualify for a cash reward.
