The following people were booked into the Lee County-Tupelo Adult Jail in connection with felony charges ending Thursday at 11 a.m.

Taylor Beard, 28, of Tupelo, was arrested by the Lee County Sheriff's Office, aggravated domestic violence, simple domestic violence.

Jordan Finney, 22, of Pontotoc, was arrested by the Lee County Sheriff's Office, child abuse - endangerment.

Lamonica R. Shumpert, 42, of Plantersville, was arrested by the Tupelo Police Department, aggravated trafficking of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of cocaine, possession of a Schedule II drug - enhanced by a firearm, false ID, harassing phone calls.

Jennifer Rene Sims, 40, of Pontotoc, was arrested by the Lee County Sheriff's Office, capias for possession of methamphetamine.

Zackeriah M. Williams, 23, of Pontotoc, was arrested by the Lee County Sheriff's Office, two counts of child abuse - endangerment.

The following reports were filed Thursday by the Lee County Sheriff's Office.

A County Road 1900 Tupelo man said a brown dog has been hanging around the Natchez Trace Parkway bridge for several days. He thinks the brown dog was dumped there. It has a collar and appears to be in good shape.

A County Road 449 Shannon man said overnight, someone used a coat hanger to unlock his 2009 Chevy Suburban. Once inside, the thief stole six prescriptions for stroke and diabetes, plus a Makita hammer drill and battery.

A Highway 371 Richmond woman said someone dumped five puppies in the road and her grandson brought them to her house. She tried to take them to the Tupelo-Lee Humane Society but was turned away because their shelter is full. Since there is no stray animal ordinance in Lee County, the deputy told her she could try an animal rescue group.

A County Road 2346 Guntown woman said she got a call from a man who sounded Hispanic. The man said he was in town and had been paid $15,000 to kill her. He said he was from Little Rock, Arkansas, and was only in "this small town" long enough to kill her. She said the caller was about to tell her how to stop the hit, but was cut off by her son-in-law.
