Good morning, Lincoln. Here's what you should know today.

Live Election Day coverage

Tuesday is Election Day, and polls are open in Lancaster County from 8 a.m.-8 p.m.

Nebraska Secretary of State Bob Evnen has projected 72% voter turnout statewide, with about 70% of Lancaster County residents expected to vote.

In addition to the presidential race, Lincoln voters will decide on several key statewide and local races.

The Journal Star will be providing updates throughout the day Tuesday on campaign events, voter turnout, results and more.

WarHorse Lincoln opens expansion

WarHorse Lincoln opened an expansion to its casino on Monday that includes table games such as roulette and blackjack.

The casino opened in September 2022, but up until Monday only had slot machines and sports betting.

The WarHorse expansion isn't just limited to table games. The facility also changed its sports betting and restaurant seating areas and added roughly 400 more slot machines.

QB Raiola expected to return

Nebraska quarterback Dylan Raiola has a good health prognosis after sustaining a nasty blow to his back in NU's loss to UCLA.

Husker coach Matt Rhule said Monday that scans to Raiola's back revealed no lingering injury as Nebraska enters a bye week. Raiola suffered a back contusion, Rhule said, that will have time to heal.

Said Rhule, "He'd probably be questionable for this week if we were playing. He should be available for next week."
