Deadline to order Greek pastries for annual bake sale

SHREVEPORT, La. ( KTAL/KMSS )—For those who love food and something sweet, there is one day left to buy delicious, authentic Greek food in Shreveport .

The Ladies Philotoches Society will host its annual Greek pasty sale on November 26. However, the deadline to place your order is Friday, November 15.

History of The Ladies Philotoches Society in Shreveport

The ladies sell their handmade desserts, bread rolls, and Yeeros to benefit local charities. The bake sale promotes the 100-year history of Saint George Greek Church, where Greek immigrant women brought their pastry-making skills to Shreveport.

You can contact the Ladies Philotoches Society to place your order by calling 318-455-1630. The Greek Pastry Sale pick-up day will be inside St. George Activities Center at 542 Wichita Street between 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
