Defense continues to lead Vikings

MINNEAPOLIS, MN (KELO) — The Minnesota Vikings are off to a 3-0 start, following a dominant 34-7 win over the Texans.

The Vikings scored 14 points in the first quarter. They added 20 second half points, including a touchdown and two field goals in the fourth quarter alone.

However, the key to the victory was on defense as the Vikings tallied two interceptions and five sacks.

"How do we just provide as much stress for 60 minutes? That's my challenge to those guys every week. I want to feel the opponent working through that process every single week," coach Kevin O'Connell said.

The Vikings will travel to play at Green Bay next Sunday.

One bit of positive news is quarterback Sam Darnold. Further testing showed it was just a knee bruise that he injured on Sunday.
